Heel Stitch
Row 1 (RS): *Sl 1 purlwise, k1; rpt from * to end of row.
Row 2: Sl 1 purlwise, p to end.
This stitch creates beautiful columns of slipped stitches and a dense yet flexible fabric.
If you are looking for something more durable, look no further than the Eye of Partridge. This creates a denser and firmer fabric. You need to pay careful attention to the size of your heel flap when you use this as there is very little ‘give’ in the fabric.

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, *k1, sl1; repeat from * to end of row, ending with a k1
Row 2 & 4: Sl 1 purlwise, p to end.
Row 3: Sl 1 purlwise, k1, *k1, sl1; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
